So today was the second day of my Docent Training at Columbia state park. I’m enjoying the learning process, the history, and the really incredible things I’m going to have the privileged to do there. The photos below were taken with my current cell phone, a Samsung J1, a phone that is being replaced in two weeks with something that is capable of taking much nicer photographs.
If you’re curious as to why I used the cell phone on this trip instead of the DSLR, well I just didn’t feel like dragging that a long this time. I did in week one and did record some video that will appear later in a Vlog witht he DSLR, but I just didn’t feel like it this time around. Plus I’ll be using the new cell phone for vlogs moving forward so I’ll only be bring the DSLR along when I know I’ll be doing till photography.
The quality isn’t great on these photos, but the first one of Saint Annes where it’s really dark and ominous is probably my favorite photo that I’ve taken in a long time. It’s just creepy, dark, haunted, dunno. That bright light in the window just looks… I like the photo, that’s all I can say. It wouldn’t win an award but, i’m going to print that one up and hang it on my wall
